What model HP is that?

The Dell Studio 15 for £499 is nice: Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 2.0 GHz, Vista Home Premium, 15" 1280x00 LED backlit display, 3GB of RAM, 250GB HDD, Radeon 3450. It's a better CPU than the AMD above, and the Studio 15s are quite solid and slick-looking laptops.

There's also the Inspiron 1525, bit chunkier than the Studio, but that does mean you can get a better spec for the money. For £450 you could get a decent spec (2.16GHz Core 2 Duo, 3GB of RAM, 320GB HDD) and use the remaining money to personalise the colour or upgrade the display resolution to 1440x900.
