Im looking for a USB 3.0 right-angle Type B to straight Type A cable. 3 metres, preferably black.

Cannot find one anywhere in the UK/EU, just found one in the US. The angle needs to be to the right, as in the picture below.

Blows my mind that these aren’t more common, though I don’t doubt one of you clever lot will find one instantly and make me look silly :D

Search for "superspeed usb3 right angle" and you shall find a company that sells them in the uk :)

Not cheap though 17 quid for that exact cable.

or does that one right angle upwards?

Edit... found the exact cable on rainforest.. search this...

"USB 3.0 A male plug 90 degree right angle to USB 3.0 B male right angled Cable"

Id go with that and a 3m usb extension cable.

Thanks man. The above image angles upwards, whereas the one I need goes to the right (when looking at the contacts).

Does it have to be a powered USB B? There's loads of regular USB B right angle cables on Amazon

Hi mate. I have no idea what a powered usb cable is? Do you mean an active repeater? If so, nope :) It’s for the hub on the back of my monitor; I need a 3.0 Type B connector that angles to the right, as in the picture I posted.

It’s for cable management, the straight cable protrudes and looks terrible. With a right angle I can just route it into the port cover on the back, then out again, bundled with all the other cables.

Check post again there are right angled ones on amazon but only up to 1m long for a couple of quid. I would grab one of them and a usb extension cable :)

I must be blind because I cannot for the life of me see a USB3 one, I’ll keep looking.

When I do find it, an extension will be fine. I’d prefer a 3 metre one (I have a general loathing for cable clutter as it is) but it’ll still look much better than the current solution.

Thanks for your help mate.

There are two from two sellers, this one:

and a shorter one from the seller SUPERWHOLE. Id probably go with the shorter one so I could hide the bend on the normal usb connection at the start of the run.

The worst colour too :D there’s a compartment on the back of the monitor for cabling; I should be able to coil up the excess and connect it to the extension inside.

Thanks for your persistence Vince, I really appreciate the effort mate. You’re a gent :D

I thought at first that there must be loads of em out there but your not wrong they are few and far between.

Was exactly my though process.

I’ve gone for the shorter one, it’ll be easier to hide. Given the 24th February delivery, low price and questionable origin I’ve ordered two, just in case one’s a dud.

I love thex34p, but the hub placement is pretty poor. It’s just plonked in the middle of nowhere about 75mm from the cable shroud.

Thanks again for the help mate!
