Wondering if the information provided below is accurate:

You can install mobile apps but in rare cases, you will find the UI is messed up when viewed on a tablet. You should not have issues installing the majority of apps from the Android Market.
Thankyou.

Some apps will decide they're incompatible. Flipboard is one example. Even though it seems for all the world like a tablet would be its natural home, its page in the Play store tells you you can't install it.

You can get hold of an apk and install it that way, and I dare say the same is true of other non-tablet compatible apps.

So, short answer: most apps will work, but not all will install from the Play store, and yes, others might well have somewhat messed-up UIs.

Yes. As in rare.

Only found a couple of apps i wanted that are not compatible with my nexus 7. And apart from scumvm (lack of dedicated search button for right click), they were all jellybean issues rather than tablet. Phones all have the same 720p res these days.

The chances are if they don't work they will get updated shortly and then you will be able download them from the app store.

I think I've only found 3 that it says they will not work going from my Samsung galaxy s 2 to the nexus7
