Can you get a dust filter for the top fan on Obsidian 650d?

Hi

Can you get a dust filter for the top fan on Obsidian 650d? I couldn't see that Corsair sell such a thing, any suggestions as to how to dust proof the top fan?

im not sure what size fans you got in the top but im quite sure you can place a filter on the top and then screw through the filter to your fan.
 
Thanks - but already considered that and it leaves about a 1" gap all around them - even 2x140mm fan filters (it has holes to take 2x140mm fans) don't seem to completely cover the top vent which is 170mm x 280mm. Hence wondering if there is a custom filter for this case out there somewhere. Or maybe something you can cut to size (hmmm, haven't tried a search for that yet)

The tights are looking a pretty good option at the moment :)
 
thanks - i'll look into it but its USA so postage will likely be more than the bit of kit

i have found another supplier in UK that sells demcifilter and have emailed them to see if they can get the rerady made top filters that they sell in the USA.

Yeah there is this but when the PC is turned off I guess dust could settle.

It's about a 7" x 12" gap so you will struggle to get something specifically designed for that size. As mentioned above, tights are a good bet, or maybe you could get hold of a sheet of filter mesh stuff and cut to size.

will wait and see what this other UK supplier comes back with - cos they definitely make pre-made dust filters for this case in the USA and this supplier seems to stock some of this brand but not for my particualar case

Still not really understanding why you'd want to have a dust filter on a fan that's blowing outwards? All it's going to be doing is trapping any dust which is being exhausted out of your case, which isn't a good thing?

very good service and only took few days for the shipping, fits perfect and very happy with it.

how much did you pay for postage?? only one place i looked at it was like $30!

Did anyone ever find one of these in the UK? Any chance of Overclockers stocking them?

I've found the magnetic DEMCIFILTER-650D-TOP specifically for the case for $19.95 in the US and AUS but not here in the UK.
