Can you get a PCI-X USB Card?

Hiya,

I need more USB ports for my Lanparty Ultra-D

I dont have any spare PCI slots though, I wondered is there anything I can buy for the spare PCI Express slot (the one nearest the CPU behind the GFX card slot) ?

I don't know of any PCI-E USB cards that exist. Have you used up all of the USB headders on the board too? If you have then a USB hub may be your only option.

I cant use the motherboard onboard ones as my case has the sockets on the top, and I dont want the top cover open all the time, i'd rather all wires be at the back.

You can get back plates that you can plug into the USB headders.

I tried plugging it into the header, it didnt work, tried it the other way round...Same

You may need to enable the extra USB headers in the BIOS. If that fails it's likely the bracket you have is the problem, although unlikely.

PCI-X? That motherboard doesn't have any PCI-X slots.

He means pci-e, specifically the pci-e x4 slot at the top.
Sadly no-one seems to make cards for pci-e despite a lot of boards having slots.

Why don't you just use a USB hub?
