can you get a serious cold from inhaling your built up dust.

I have about 10 years of dust built up under my desk.

The sheer amount of cabeling and the tight space meant that I could never feasibly get under there and vaccum everything out.

Well anyway, changed desks recently and cleared everything out. Seriously high amount of dust was cleared. Probably inhaled quite a fair bit of it although I made sure not to unsettle anything and use a vaccum and not a brush.

Now I've got a very bad cold. Is there a link?

Dissapointed in lack of pics tbh :(

It's very easy to curse at me for not cleaning. But if you consider the fact that the area is tiny and I am not really able to pull the desk out without ripping all the cables out of the sub woofer, tower and knocking the 5 speakers off the desk and make a dogs dinner out of everything, you'll realise that it's much better to leave it there.

What's the point of cleaning an area that you can't see anyway? How often do you clean your loft?

Here's a picture, it looked a lot worse in real life than it does in pictures.

I am now using a sit stand desk and the worktop lifts up to 1.3M tall. So I can now lift the worktop up all the way and get under. Also because of the fact that the desk will be used between 1.3M and .8M I have to make sure that all the cables are wrapped in a cable conduit so it should make everything a lot neater. Therefore easieer to clean.
