Although I have a PS3, sometimes when I carry my Macbook Pro, I feel like playing a bit of Final Fantasy. But I could never seen to find any which is Mac compatible. Does anyone know if that's possible? Ideally from FFVII and upwards would be great but I imagine there may be some classic games available.

Any ideas?

There are Windows versions of FFVII and VIII around, though they are extremely rare and wouldn't run on a mac, I don't think. Your best bet, depending on system specs, would be to use a ps1 emulator which would let you play 1-9 (Google to find ones :p ) 10 onwards probably won't play on a laptop, but there's some ps2 emulators as well out there.

Just make sure you own the games, naturally :p

That statement could very well start a war :p

I'm not going to start swinging the bats about hardware, but..... yea

Yeah I don't want to start a war on Window vs Mac. I never use my Mac for games and I wasn't planning to either. I have my consoles for that.

There has been occasions where I was without internet and consoles but I feel like playing games. Final Fantasy, for me anyway, is the type of game which I could play again and again so I can live with that.

I was thinking about boot camp but isn't it a bit pricey to first buy the software and then buy the game?

Or maybe I should forget about FF and consider something like Command & Conquer. I don't know...a game which can be played more than once on Mac. Then once I have access to my console, I won't be playing games on PC or Mac.

Buy the playstation versions of the games and use an emulator :3

At least there are PS1 emulators for mac, I don't know how you would go about running windows games like C&C.
