I believe the motherboards saying freesync ready is to do with the AMD APUs. So like if you used like a 3200g and no graphics card you could use freesync But yeah, if you're using an nvidia GPU that supports gsync it doesn't matter what motherboard you are using.
Display outputs of motherboards simply pass through signal from (possible) integrated GPU of CPU and have no effect to what variable refresh rate tech is supported.
Though no integrated GPU would support G-Sync, because of AMD and Intel not supporting it.
