Hi guys,

I'm pretty new to this kind of stuff and figured I'd just edit a build on overclockers. My main concern is if it might get too hot or loud. I'm quite new as you can tell haha.

Also, is it made to boot up and start straight away or is there anything else I must do before?

I'd ask which motherboard that is also, the B450 DS3H is commonly used in prebuilds and it's one of the weakest B450's on the market in terms of VRM's.

Hi Lemin. Wow thanks for putting that build together, I appreciate it a lot!

Sorry do you mean I'll have to fit it in myself? Think I might throw in a WiFi card though but I'll probably go with this instead.

This may sound a little silly but motherboards already have audio don't they? There is no need for a sound card? I say this because I usually just stick my headset in for both audio and mic although.
 
If you want to upgrade your CPU to Zen 3 in the future then you're best going with an X570 or the soon to release B550 as the tomahawk max is EOL and at £130 it's not really worth it over spending another 20 quid on X570.

Do you have to buy RIGHT NOW? Because B550 motherboords are a month off.

Don't get a Ryzen 2700 as they're the last generation; get the 3700 instead.
Get 3600 MHz RAM if possible as that's the sweet spot for Ryzen.
If you're gaming at 1080p and not using RTX then the RTX 2070 is overkill: look to the RX 5700 XT or even the GTX 1660 Super. Do also note that new GPUs from Nvidia are 3-6 months off.

No need for a 2700 or 3700x for gaming.

Also get 16gb of ram that is 3200mhz minimum.

No need for 32GB of ram.

Also I'd build my own pc. It's incredibly easy to do and there are literally thousands of step by step videos on YouTube.

As for wait for b550 I'd probably not wait they could be many months away thanks to covid. I'd just get a 3600x and b450 tomahawk from msi because the 3600x is more than capable and the likely upgrade to a 4600x won't be worth the wait or cost.

Will be an extra £100 on the mobo and another £100 on the cpu so £200 for 10-15% more power at best which in game will translate to an extra 1-2% as games aren't cpu limited on a 3600x

So paying £200 for 2% increase in frames is quite frankly a waste of money.

^ This is what I was going to say if you're only gaming^

Don't get a 1000w psu, get a quality 600/650w unit (I like Seasonic or Corsair RM models)
Don't get a 2000 series CPU, get 3000 series
Get a 3600 if you might want to overclock it now or later, if you won't overclock get the 3600x - it is the same CPU but boosts slightly higher when under load.
If you can wait then get a B550 / X570 board when they come out as they will support the next line of CPU's, if you'd rather not wait get a 450/470 motherboard.
32gb of memory is not necessary, it won't make any difference in gaming but fast memory will, get 16gb of 3600mhz or close.

What resolution is your monitor?

Thanks for the info, I don't plan on doing anything in 4k or over locking so the previous build could've been a bit overkill!

It's 1920x1080. 144hz

Nothing crazy
