Hi

There is a used bike for sale at a J&S for £2299. It's a branch of J&S that is quite far away.

Are J&S fixed on their pricing or is there some room for negotiation? How much do you think they would knock off?

I'd offer 1800 Cash & see if he has a heart attack & came back at me with 2100, Then I'd say Narrrr Budget bla bla bla 19 & hope he let me have it for 2k.
If they don't budge on the price then ****'em as it's Winter & you have cash.

I got £500 knocked off my brand new 10' last year by negotiating with the dealer. It didnt take much effort at all, i told him basically im not paying £6500 for a bike:p

I called them and got more details on the bike. They told me it didn't have any service history and nor could they tell me when it was last serviced either. They were also not willing to budge on the price so it's their loss!

wow they sound really helpfull

Walk away and go take money to some one who wants it.

It actually worked out for the best that they didn't offer me a discount as I found a better spec bike for less money elsewhere.

Give it a shot, J&S are usually a friendly bunch. Well, they were in the Doncaster branch.

Can't say the same about the Birmingham branch......bought a new Kawasaki off them last year and as soon as I put key in it on the car park, the fuel light was on, despite a full tank being requested when purchasing it....no matter what was said, the dick salesman just wouldn't budge. I know its less than £20 worth, but its principle and trust...so for £20 they have lost out on me ever spending a penny with them again.
