Im thinkin when I get a 22" widescreen, to keep my old 19" lcd, but would I be able to run both screen diff res, 1 at 1280x1024 and the other at 1650x1280?

Also could I set my 22" as my main display to run my games while the other screen is either a blank screen or showing the desktop?

with ease, i do it through the resolution settings in windows.

difference is i have a 17" non-CRT, not sure about panel type @ 1280*1024 and a 21" CRT @ 1800*1440

i also have the use this device as the primary monitor box ticked on my primary monitor

Can you maximize a window on either screen? Like could I run my tvcard on the secondry screen in full screen while working on the primary screen?

You will definately find a third party app for dual screens worthwhile. Being able to drag maximized windows to the other monitor makes things so much easier. Display Fusion, as mentioned above is free and allows different wallpapers on the two screens.

I use Ultramon though which adds another taskbar on the second screen to show running apps on that screen. Extremely useful and can do a bunch of other stuff. Well worth the money.

Thanks guys for all your help, Im thinking about getting the sammy 226BW and with my viewsonic 19" lcd being about the same in height wise of a 22" it shouldnt look out of place by the side of the sammy.
