Can you help me?! 3850agp problem

Wonder if I can get some help with this?

I just bought a 3850agp off ebay (trying to squeeze every last drop out of my old system!).

It came without the molex to PCI-ex adaptor.

Being clueless I went and bought an adaptor only it doesn't fit.

Guess the board has a specific design on the female end!

Question is: if I trim the adaptor so it fits, will it fry my card?I suppose if the card manufacturer changed the wiring order then I'm in trouble?!
