Can you identify this car.....?

It is a BMW and it says on the Back "B10 v8", it was on a T reg plate. I saw it today on the A31.

Any idea what it is? it looks like a big 3 series or something like that.

If they werent so ridiculous to run I would be half-tempted to get one...
 
Ah i see that's the one. Is it classified as a super car then? What about performance figures and stuff.

Pretty damn quick. The CEO of a company I worked for whilst at uni had one of these, didn't realise they were so quick/expensive at the time - proper sleepers :eek:
 
Its a pity the later Alpinas haven't got much to show, performance wise, compared to the top standard BMW models. There was a time when Alpina took over where BMW left off, and their top models were faster than the top BMW models, for example the B10 biturbo which was quite a bit faster than the M5 of that era.

They did make quite a nice diesel powered 5 series a few years ago though, D10 biturbo IIRC
