Is it possible to install two instances of Snow Leopard on the same machine?

Intel Imac is the machine. I have partioned the disk into two equal sizes.

Reason being I want to test various software but want to evaluate it before installing into my working partition (if that makes sense?).

If possible can someone give me a dummies guide to make it happen? Thanks!

TBH Im not 100% sure, but I think you could you would just have to hold the ALT key on startup everytime and choose which partition to boot from. Name them differently so you know which is which lol

Yes just split the drive into two partitions with Disk Utility from the install disk and install it on both.

Thank You.

I have already partioned the drive. When I run the installation disk, will it at some stage let me choose the partition? My biggest fear is that it will overwrite my main partition without requesting me to choose one! Is it just a case of letting the disk do it's thing or is there a combination of keys to press at start up?

:)
