Morning 8 pack

I have been playing with the settings from the guide you posted yesterday and these are my current settings.
Im currently at 1.4vcore 125 x 39 I can get it to post at 125 x 41 but need obviously more vcore.
As I mentioned before I feel my ram is holding me back so I think Im looking to get some sammy greens or platinum's.
Can you have a look at these settings and tweak them for me please to see If you feel this can go any higher or indeed lower if its going to degrade?
Thank you kind sir.

You dont need 10uf filter at that RAM speed. Enable would be fine.

Try enabling Rampage Tweak Mode 1 for compatability.

I think your RAM is holding you back in terms of efficientcy yes but in terms of CPU overclock probably not. I put this in a response last night on the other thread. Have you tried around 129 BLK. This option normally brings BLK down.

I would try this option also.

Ok I will change It to enable.
I had it on mode 1 but changed it back to auto.
I have tried 129 bclk on both 40 and 41 multi's but couldnt get it to post. I tried it at vcore starting from 1.25 up to 1.45 for 129 x 40/41 and still no cigar. Is this right?

On a side note I notice that on booting into windows my mobo clicks twice just before it goes onto the password screen. what are these clicks 8 pack?
On the 129 bclk it will get to the first click then freeze which makes me wonder whats its initiating on the second click that's failing?
Any thoughts?

It usually does this when its cutting power and then retraining memory when you change BLK. IE Clock gen full reset!!!

You should post at 129 but may have to step the memory back or change timings. When you dont post give me the post code displays please as this will help a lot.

Got it to post briefly @ 38 x 129 1.4vcore but it wasn't stable and soon blue screened me.

Whats the maximum 24/7 vcore you can use on SB-E ? I always thought Vabsolute was 1.4v so I try and stay below that.

Adding vcore would make it stable but didnt you say that on the 129 bclk it needed less vcore? as that was the sweet spot. Cooling isnt an issue because I have a chiller and cool vrm mosfet and the bridges

I feel my ram isnt playing well with my system so Im going to change it out for some sammy green

yeah 1,4v max and at this you should be thinking about actively cooling VRMS. On your RIVE do you have 8 pin and 4 Pin 12v CPU lines plugged in??

No I only have the 8 pin plugged in.
My vrms are under water

Going to order my samsung greens in the morning also. what timings and frequency can I expect at what voltages 8 pack.
Im looking to get to your magic number of 2133 mhz

Ok so Ive got my new samsung green installed and I have also added the second plug for the cpu.

The chip is running at 4875mhz 125 x 39 1.38 vcore and the ram is currently 2000mhz with timings of 9 11 9 28 1 and the machine feels nice and snappy.

I have had it booting at 2333mhz also but on slacker timings. would you trade faster mhz for tighter timings or vice versa?

I think I have found my 24/7 settings or have I?

That is a pretty sleek system right there I must say, I'd personally go for the tighter timings but wait and see what 8 packs verdict is. Or do some benches and test yourself? :D
