Can you get a desktop case as quiet as a tower one ?

A desktop would be easier to fit in my room as I could put the printer on top are desktop cases inherently noisier?

shouldnt be a real problem.
depends on the case I suppose. A good trick is to find a cpu HSF that works well with the fan sucking air through the HS instead of blowing into it. This way you can mod an air-duct directly above the CPU fan and the hot air should just about blow straight out of the case.
