Is there any sort of device that you can buy which would allow you to make a wired network printer wireless?
I have a HP Photosmart C5180 printer which I connect directly to my wireless router with a lan cable however I want to move the wireless router to next to the phone socket which is at the other end of the house from where the printer is. Therefore I am either going to have to cable this which is rather ugly or, if possible, if there was something that you could use that would plug into the lan port on the printer and would covert it to a wireless network and thus connect to my wireless router.
I want to do this because my dsl connection is at the margin of a 1mb and 1.5mb stable rate and obviously I would like the speed increase however I can't achieve that whilst it is connected via and extension. I can however maintain a stable sync by connecting the router directly to the broadband socket on my bt box.
Any suggestions if such a thing exists - don't see why not if you can have usb adapters then don't see any reason why you can't have one does the same thing with a lan port.
