Can you mix the Gigawork S750 satellite speakers with a Inspire T7900 sub?

Recently my sub stopped working I just get fuzy sounds out of it and I cannot find anywhere locally to repair it. Due to the weight it doesn’t seem cost effective to post it any place. I was wondering could you buy an Inspire T7900 set and use the satellite speakers form the Gigawork S750?

Do creative sell Gigawork S750 subs by them self? Are there any other options? I tried Ebay (UK) and didn’t find any subs.

Thoroughly test the connections just in case first.

Is it still under warranty? Get it replaced under that if you can.

It may well be possible to use an Inspire T7900 sub with your current satellites but it won't sound anywhere near as good. The sub probably won't match well, its power output is much lower (the amps for all the satellites are inside the sub) and the amplification quality will be lower. Wouldn't really be worth doing trying.

Are the inspire sattelites connected via RCA, and on the S750 connected Via propor speaker cable?

I wouldent try the s750 sats with the inspire sub, i rekon they would take too much power and fry the amp.

Ok thanks for the info. Guess I need to think of another plan. My 750set is years old but I dont want to replace it as the satellite speakers are fine.

Yeah, I can see your point. You might consider buying an AV amplifier and subwoofer, although this isn't a cheap option. You could easily upgrade in future if you wanted with that though.

A search on a famous auction site for AV Amplifier will turn up lots of options, you may be able to get a budget/older model for under £60 or so (still sticking with known brands like Sony, Pioneer, Marantz, Denon, Technics, Panasonic). Couple it with a budget powered sub, consider KEF, Yamaha, Mission, Tannoy or even Eltax :)

Uh oh, i wouldent go with Sony, pioneer and panasonic, they make car subs (dunno about panasonic) and crappy Mini hi-fi systems, and there all in one Hts dont seem to be good aswell, i woulsdent really expect better quality out of seperates stuff aswell.

I think you should save up and buy a good sub for at least £400.
