Can you order replacement case parts striaght from Lian Li

I want buy a Lian Li v1000 case and cut some 120mm fan holes in the top panel..
But what am thinking,,is if it goes wrong can i buy a replacement top panel striaght from Lian Li ??



(i know i can do this with shuttle cases..costs an arm & leg for spare parts but still much cheaper then having to buy a whole new case.)

The problem is, the top of the V1000 is the same piece of metal as the front. You'd have to dril several rivets just to get the case apart. Then re-rivet it. I don't imagine they would sell such a large piece, it would be a nightmare to ship without it getting bent out of shape.
 
They would not ship you a new one, the way it is built if you remove one of the two panels the whole case comes apart.

Just dont make a mistake!
 
If it does not come out alright then you can always cover the top bit with a new sheet of metal.
Cutting the case is easy, I just did a side window in my V1000 and that was thicker aluminium than the top is. Just use a holesaw and you will be done in 5 minutes
