Can you overclock a 60hz cheap monitor?

I have a couple old 60hz monitors i got for cheap and are nice 1080p but i wondered if it was possible to overclock the monitors to somthing slightly more, 70hz for example?

I have an amd gpu. I tried the readeon software and it just said the monitor was 60hz, wouldnt let me up it at all.
what is cru?
