Hey guys, I dont really know anything about music, I dont watch TV or listen to radio so I dont know whats on charts etc and basically I need some new music to get me pumped for gym.

on my IPOD I've got chicane, faithless, dance, house, but all the songs I've got I've listened to for past year and getting bored now.

I like something with a beat, am kinda thinking hip hop or something? but I dont know if hip hop is the right genre, I liked some of the music ronnie coleman was listening to on his DVD.

I have great workouts with or without music, but I like music for doing cardio and also it sorts of gives me energy to do my workout on the weights, I know that sounds daft but I dont have a gym partner and music seems to help.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe try some Eminem. I listen to anything from drum and bass to heavy metal to reggae, just depends what mood I'm in.

From Wikipedia lol:

Listening to music through headphones while exercising can be dangerous. Blood may be diverted from the ears to the limbs leaving the inner ear more vulnerable to damage from loud sound. A Finnish study recommended that exercisers should set their headphone volumes to half of their normal loudness and only use them for a half hour.

Can't go wrong with a bit of Major Lazer:

Also try and listen to get hold their recent essential mix if you can:

I already got all the rocky songs, dont worry about that, I made sure I got them first haha, I am a big rocky fan and I think rocky is best gym music ever haha

Whatever you do OP, don't use the charts as any sort of music guide please.
How long do you spend working out? I know a couple of songs that are pretty long (around 10 mins)

You don't want all that poncy music people are suggesting, you want METAL.
Slayer, Slayer and more Slayer and you'll come out like Arnie.

What on earth are you doing when training that long?!

I'm hardcore mate, dont worry about it.

EDIT: but a breakdown for ya is bike to gym which is around 30-45 mins, do 15 mins abs, do 45 mins cardio, do 45-75 mins weights then bike home for 45 mins....I'm in a cutting phase at moment and I'm losing fat pretty well, I've never looked leaner then I do right now, currently 18.4 stone and I was 24 stone 3 years ago, so that should tell you something haha! I need to take my measurments again but last time I did it around 6 months ago I had 17" arms, 17" calves, 27" legs at top, 47" chest.

When am back to bulking I'll prob just do 15 mins abs and then 45-75 mins weights.
