basically I’ve got a mini compaq slim computer I will be using a lot, it has the amd vision which in my case is an E450, it has this motherboard

h-aft1-udxt-1

From what I can tell it has no fan support other than the cpu header and because the power is built in and off an adapter it has no molex or 24 pin if I wanted to go pico, so I was wondering if I could use a fan splitter? I have one spare and have been trying to find an expansion slot blower given that be my own option for a fan ha.

I got this computer the other day for a proposed business start, so it’s enough for what I need and while it only has an ssd + hdd amongst the heatsink and mini fan it can get a bit warm, figured I could try improve it.

Running a splitter on the CPU fan is no problem at all. Have been running like that for years with my D15 running two 140mm fans.

Okay cheers for reply, I did read it’s fine, but also not fine as the cpu fan header obviously controls the cooler speed etc, so could run every fan attached at max speeds meaning more noise etc, but I will give it a try, can’t see what the worse could be ha.
