Crossfire's more versatile than SLI.
It'd be like 7870/7850 - 7950/7970.
So same tiers.
The 7870 LE can Crossfire with a 7950, they're the same core pretty much.

ah ok, so I wouldn't be able xfire the new HD8xxx series with my current HD7950's once released?

another quick question , the HD7990 is only 3GB x2 and not 6GB? As I'm running triple monitors i wouldn't benefit from it over my HD7950's in terms of memory?
