Can you spec me an Intel system (only ever used AMD before)

I am looking to build a 'cheap' system based on the CORE2 duo. Never ever built an intel based system and main bit i am not sure of is what RAM.

I have some bits but what i need are:

CPU - was going for Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.86GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
mobo
ram (1gig)
psu

I just want a basic and cheap system - not looking for anything special.

the E6600 is better vale for money isn't it
what will you be using the system for?

also just a thought (others will probably disagree) if its not for gaming or anything special then why not buy a socket 939 board and an AMD cpu (maybe x2)
