I really want to get one of these TG dark pro 3600cl16 8pack 32gb kits, they still on notification but I assume its discontinued?, anyone know if they ever come back in stock occasionally? I'm on the look out on bay but they get snapped up quick.

There's the cheaper die version still available:

Anyone have any experience with these, I'm partial to ram tuning so I want to match what I currently have got out of my Micron E die 2x8gb kit which is c16 3800

I got a comment on another thread that said these cheaper kits are probably Hynix but does anyone know which type, after any experiences with this cheap ram, overclocking potential (timing results be nice from any users) or any other recommendations.

Thanks

The CL18 kits are probably Hynix DJR. They should have comparable results (in tuning) to Micron E except it doesn't clock as high.
Ok great, DJR looks like it can get achieve lower tRFC than micron E. I might take a gamble on these clocking to 3800c16 if I don't see any used B-die soon. Thanks

Anyone clocked these at 3800cl16?

I used to chase B die kits but then I managed to get hold of a dual rank 32gig 3200 MT/s @CL17 and it was faster than my 2 by 8gig 3600 MT/s @CL14 kit so I gave up.

In the wake of DDR5 and the performance uplift you get from that, I’d probably not spend a ton of money chasing DDR4 and just get a good kit and be happy with it.

Chasing performance improvements by buying high end RAM kits is actually a poor investment given the cost to performance but that’s up to you.
Yea I hear you, Ive decided to stick with my current system for a while now so need 32gb and don't want to downgrade my ram performance. Ive picked up a Kingston fury renegade 32gb Kit 3600cl16 for 60quid, that's worth it to me, lots of user data for them online 3800cl16 should be fine.
