Can you still get bad credit if you don't pay-up on a rolling non-contract?

I have an extra Three sim on a rolling non-contract. I pay before they give me any allowance.

Can Three put stuff on my credit file if I don't pay them for the month? Even though I have taken out absolutely no credit from them?

Sometimes I don't really need an allowance on it and I don't bother paying it.

I ask because I've recently tried getting a new actual credit contract from Virgin Mobile and I was refused due to poor credit.

Seems really weird. I tried a few days ago on my name, failed. Then I asked my mum I'd pay her if she could take out the contract and it failed for her too, which is absolutely ridiculous, she's never missed a payment in 20 years of paying a mortgage. Even weirder, she's the account holder for our Virgin Media services, paying £80 month on time every time through direct debit, but they refuse to add on another £25 :D

Their loss really as we're willing to put the house down as collateral.

But also mine because there's something fishy going on with our credit rating.

Do the free 1 month credit check trial on experian or try noddle (free but not as much detail) - find out what's wrong. Phones have a really low credit score minimum, it's likely something else is in play like an anti-fraud black list mark (this is network specific) or credit mark.

Just received a call from Virgin Mobile. Apparently it was a "glitch in their system" and my mother has "perfect credit rating" and I am also "eligible for a contract". I politely laughed at her and told her my mother and I have both already taken out new contracts from Three Mobile :D. I also told her I'm now going to make my whole family move from Virgin to Three so we can get unlimited minutes to each other :D

What a joke lol Alan Sugar would have fired someone for such a stupid mistake on their order taking system.
