hi all this is a request of a friend of mine,he has lost his xp disc 32bit and i was wondering if you can still get a win7 32bit rc1 of some kind just to get him through for a bit untill he can afford it as he has lost his job ect

any ideas would be helpfull:D

thanks

Sadly you can't download it anymore no. But I have RC somewhere on my PC I think. Should have the ISO somewhere kicking around. I'm sure I download the 32 bit version. Let me have a check, and I could maybe post a DVD if that's ok?

Let me know. Email is in trust.

Edit: Just found 32-bit Windows 7 RC on my PC. I also have the RC keys somewhere for it. Want me to burn you're mate a copy?

Alternatively, since windows XP is based on licenses, any XP disk will do. If it came with his computer, XP home oem is probably the ideal, but xp home retail would do. I'm unsure as to installing pro using a home cd, never tried this myself. If the sticker is unreadable, "magical jelly bean" will read it from the old xp installation directly.

Microsoft offer copies of these disks for download to msdn subscribers, so perhaps you know someone who can send you a copy. I'm sorry to hear he's having trouble.
