Can you still run Mods through games that use steam ?

Considering buying that Total war package but there are mods I would like to use with some of the titles

Yep, but I think the mod needed a "Steam" update.

So old old mods, I'm not sure.

Re-read your post. Total War mods should be fine, just direct the mod to the directory within your steam folder.

xx:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps Should be in there.

If the mod works fine with the latest version then yes no problem.

The issue with mods like SA: MP or MTA : SA in San Andreas is that it needs v1.0 and you can't get that on steam .

You can just download an older .exe for SA and it works fine.
