Can you suggest a bundle?

Hi Guys

I need a bit of hand here. I haven’t done much custom PC stuff before but i am about to start running several RAM intensive applications that hammer the CPU.

I was looking for a bundle that I can add lots of RAM to that has a decent processor and a couple of PCI slots to host several NIC’s ports for external interfacing.

I am not generally interested in overlooking as I don’t have the experience yet. As always the budget is not unlimited and was thinking of around £350 ish

What sort of applications are these? Would a single quad core CPU be sufficient? Would 8 GiB RAM be sufficient? If you need more than that, it's certainly available but the price increases near-exponentially.

Its called Dynamips and runs IOS's from RAM. I am sure that 8 Gig is going to be more than enough. Not sure about the CPU load but people are out there using it on boxes they have not custom built for it so i suppose one would be OK?
