Can you suggest a good cheap UK VPN please?

A canadian friend is looking to use a cheap UK based VPN service to be able to access BBC iPlayer and has asked me for suggestions.

I use the VPN service that comes with Giganews to sidestep Virgin Media's traffic management, because my needs have already been met I haven't the foggiest what the UK VPN market is like.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a UK endpoint VPN that offers excellent value for money?

Pptp is cheap, ~$50 a year. Open vpn is somewhere between $70-$240 depending on where you go but more stable thus better for streaming. Witopias Probably the cheapest reliable one around - but their client is pants. Price you pay for having unlimited endpoint switches though
