just sanity checking in case there's anything funny about Shuttle systems? currently i have a Shuttle SG31G2 V2 system.

I need to add a double-depth graphics card to it but the PCI-E slot is currently right on the edge of the motherboard and so wouldnt fit within the case.

Could it take the motherboard etc out and put it all in a new case without much issue? any recommendations of small-ish replacement cases?

I've used a shuttle case to do the reverse before (putting a different motherboard in to a shuttle), so i'd assume that wouldn't be an issue. The holes all lines up as expected anyway....would be incredibly mean and dell like of them not too i suppose.

Is it a shuttle branded mobo? Might have a product code on it somewhere? Chances are it will be an ITX or something else standard I would have thought!

It won't be an easy fix, the G2 series case the back panel (USB/LAN/sound) is about 15mm shorter than a regular motherboard and the holes don't line up on the motherboard to any standard. Even with the new ones they've only made the case backward compatible with ITX, rather than allowing the motherboard to fit in other cases.
