Hey can you please help me,

I have this motherboard:

A8V:
-VIA K8T800Pro + VT8237
- Supports AMD Socket 939 Athlon 64FX/Athlon 64 X2/Athlon 64
- 64 bit CPU spport
- Dual-channel DDR400
- AMD Cool 'n' Quiet Technology
- AI NET (GbLAN)
- AI AUDIO

So am wanting to know which memory do I buy for this? It says DDR400 so it that PC4200? I dont understand, because am looking on your website at memory and they say PC4200, PC5300, PC6200 etc and dont get what DDR400 means or which I am meant to buy?

Cheers in advance,

SkScotchegg :D

DDR400 is PC3200 (DDR400 relates to the 400Mhz operating speed, PC3200 relates to the 3200MB/s bandwidth)

Your system takes DDR1 not DDR2, so you want a matched pair of PC3200 (aka DDR400) DDR1 modules.
