Can you uninstall window 7 off a partition?

Hi,

Currently my PC has an ssd and a 1tb HDD but my ssd has died. So whilst it is being rma'ed can I install windows 7 to my 1tb HDD but then when I get my ssd back uninstall it off the 1tb drive? Any help is much appreciated.

Yes, make a partition on the 1TB HDD for the Win7 install. When the replacement SSD arrives, use something such as http://www.paragon-software.com/technologies/components/migrate-OS-to-SSD/ to move Windows 7 from the HDD to the SSD. When everything is up and running, you can delete the Win7 partition from the HDD. Don't forget to change the boot priority in BIOS.
