Can you update the bios without the CPU on this motherboard

Yes you can.

Have you already purchased this board ? If so are you able to return it ? The reason being it isn't a very good choice for the price. There are B550 boards that perform better.

Assuming you want something around the same price then the two MSI B550 boards are a better option. Both have wifi 6 as well.

The Gaming Carbon has a few more SATA ports on the rear. Think they are pretty much identical otherwise.

The MSI X570 Tomahawk as mentioned above is also solid, but that costs £189.95 on here at least. They all have bios flashback as well, so you can follow the video posted above if you need to.

Yes all X570 and B550 boards have a working bios for Ryzen 5000. As long as the board has bios flashback then you are good. Just avoid that X570 Gaming Edge board though as I mentioned above.

If you have already ordered it then you would have to get in touch with the shop to cancel. If it has already been shipped then you still have 14 days to return it, although you would have to pay the postage to send it back.
