Can you use a PS3 controller on a pc?

Thanks. I have to get one for work but wondering if I can use with pc as I dont actually own a PS3 lol

You can on 32-bit Windows but not 64-bit. Which annoys me.

I am sure that they will sort that out sooner or later.
