Can you use car speakers with a PC?

I have two 'Pioneer TS-G1348' car speakers.
Is there anyway to somehow use them with my computer?
If i were to make a housing for each of them, would i then need to connect them to an amp, and the amp to my soundcard?
How would they be powered?

You'd need quite a high current 12v source to power a car amp - an old ATX psu would probably do, or you could use a normal hifi amp with them.

Generally speaking tho, car stuff is awful anyway, you'd be better off putting that money you're going to spend on building a box into a pair of bookshelf speakers.
