Hey guys,

Got an issue here with a couple of users not able to connect to our ras server at work via dial up.

Both users laptops check out fine when in the office on a line we have here.

now the one thing they both have in common is the fact they have broad band on their lines at home.

Is it as i think, you cannot use dial up on a broad band enabled phone line??

any ideas?

Cheers

You can use dialup on a BB enabled line, works just like a phone.
We use and ADSL line for our BB and for staff to dial in using analogue modems.

Yes, you can use dialup fine with ADSL. Though there was an issue with Bulldog's voice service killing dialup.

cheers guys,

yeah williamw11 that was part of the issue, but i remembered that from my old dial up days lol.

Right you guys who say they can, do they need to remove the micro filters and plug direct into the bt socket??
