It is rather odd, my old Xbox 360 20GB from yonks ago came with HD-component, yet the s****y new 360 S 250GB doesn't. Ah well.
Thanks for the confirmation
edit: that's a rather unfortunate bout of censorship there. It's mean to say 's w a n k y'![]()
In the big bad corporate world, it makes financial sense to only include one cable, and because you don't want to end up with a customer who can't use their shiny new toy without buying another cable, they include the SD one that all users can use, even if for 90% it means they end up with a garbage picture on their nice big HD TV.
Worse is that a large percentage of those consumers with a nice big HD TV end up connecting their shiny new toy with the SD cable... and don't realise they're not looking at an HD image...![]()
It's a fair point, but the Component HD cable can be used on SDTVs too - the only difference between Component and Component HD is that the latter has red green & blue inputs in addition to the original yellow white & red.
Component HD cables really should be packaged with 360s - they are marketed as a HD console after all.
