Canceling XBL Gold?

How do i cancel my XBL subscription? I'm currently being charged £5 monthly. I bought a 1 month gold subscription but to my horror they've been taking it each month which i don't want.

From the xbox.com website. Log in and choose "My Account" and there'll be billing options and whathaveyou in there. You have the option to turn autorenew OFF.

OK cheers for this. Can't log in there now as that site is blocked from where i'm typing this from so i'dd do this later. Also do you know if i can delete my card (payment option) from there?

Yes you can delete your payment details.

OK, i've turned autorenew OFF but it didn't let me delete my card as said 'there is an outstanding balance on this payment option, try later' which there isn't....

Also i'm disgusted autorenew was on anyway. As far as i knew i bought a 1 month subscription to XBL, why on earth does it default to autorenew ON if you do this? If i bought something from anywhere else on the net i wouldn't expect to be charged every month for it.

They make it so easy to subscribe and buy stuff but a pain in the arse to cancel.

Yeah now you have to wait until your subscription has expired before you can remove your card details.

I honestly still don't know how to turn it off, this is the closest i've come, and still no joy.
