Cancelling a GAME pre-order

Anyone have any clue what the score is with GAME.

I pre-ordered Space Marine from them a few weeks ago, but on friday, the company i work for went into administration, so as you can imagine, things are tight, and games certainly arent a priority.

But for days now, whenever you phone them they say they cant look at any order details for anyone due to scheduled maintenance on their server, and to phone back later in the day. Of course this has went on for days now.

Plus you go online, and you can see your pre-order but theres no place you can cancel it.

Anyone any idea what youre meant to do to cancel?
 
Was about to take a screenie as I got a couple of games on pre order...

But their site has changed!!!

Why fix something that is not broken? New site is terrible!!!

Anyway, I can't find a cancel button either :s

if the worst comes to the worst and you cant cancel before it gets delivered you can wander down to your nearest game store with your reciept and the game still in its cellophane wrapper and get a full refund under the distance selling regulations.

the distance selling regulations state (roughly) that upon the date of arrival you have 7 days in which you can return any product you have ordered online and get a full refund.
 
But that might mean you have to send it back to the online version of the store as some stores are separate from online to high-street with stuff like this dont they?

Btw about returning to a store, when bought online.

Found this at the bottom of the returns page. "Online orders cannot be returned to GAME Concessions Stores."

Worst comes to worst just remove your payment details or contact the bank to stop any payments from GAME.

Actually, good point, you can even cancel your pre order in store. If your account is tied with your game card, it will be on the system. Walk in and ask them to cancel it, and get decent web designers whilst they are at it :)

Yep if you have a store near they maybe able to sort it there. But as i said the online store and high-street stores might be managed differently which might prevent it from being straight forward.
 
Yeah i tried that contact sheet the other day and it wouldnt work either, got nothing but errors, didnt matter if i used IE or FF. Seems to have worked tonight though.
 
Same, I went on the site a few days ago and firstly like :eek: UGLY!.. then quickly realised there was no way to cancel any of the pre-orders I had :( Sent them an email but they are still showing there.
 
I just purchased a second Skyrim CE on a different card, and went to cancel the other, but can't. .-.

I'll give them a call, or email them or something I suppose. You'd think they'd do it properly if they're going to change their site. :/
 
They've been having major issues with their website the last two weeks, you can email them using the web form to get things cancelled/changed.
