Hi

Does anyone know what the notice period is on an 18 month contract? I have 6 months to run on mine but want to change to a better deal.

Cheers
S

If you've signed for 18 months, you will be billed for 18 months whether you want it or not. You just have to ride it out, at which they will offer you another contract most likely. Just turn it down.

^ Yup, you're stuck with the contract until it expires, if you do want to get out you'll have to pay for the 6 months you've got left to run.

Forget to pay your BT telephone bill and they most probably cease your line by accident.

I cannot count how many times I have dealt with this.

Actually probably changing details of yourself would do it :P

If you do cancel, make sure you get a MAC code from them, as it makes the swap to another dsl provider a quicker process.

Would never use BT broadband after all of this Phorm rubbish. I can't understand how they have gotten away with it wthout some kind of punishment be it from OFCOM or another.

I do use there Business service as it's provided for me by work and there's no way around that. Would never use there home service though.

Remember to say no to phorm if i pops up.

I requested mine yesterday and it was in my In-Box this morning.

Undecided between Tiscali or Virgin....

Tiscali are the worst ISP around bar none. Go ANYWHERE else.

We moved to BT from Tiscali and I honestly can't understand what people's probelms are with them.

Im pretty sure that doesnt work. You will either be charged a reconnection fee or the ramaining months on your contract.

My BBand with BT becomes very dodgy at the end of every month. We experience a good bit of downtime with the constant disconnections and the speeds drop quite a bit, pretty sure we're being throttled by them.

Well I'm thinking of going o2 or sky atm, I was checking sky's out last night and next to the their Unlimited Broadband* the * indicated, NO FAIR USE POLICY! Which is sounding quite good.

My mate has said good things about o2 however.

hi

thanks all. My connection is always good but slow. O2 are meant to have better connection speeds and as im an o2 customer , i'll get BB connection for about £7 per month compared to £19 i'm paying now

How? it was their fault that the line was ceased and they cant make you pay for something your not getting.

I'm not saying dont pay your bill period, just like one month out. I used to deal with BT cutting off customers lines all the time.
