Cancelling xbox Live?

Hey all,

I'm trying to work out how to cancel the recurring subscription plan I have to Xbox Live at the moment, but not anywhere is it letting me

Can someone point me to where I can cancel this please?

You'll have to ring up to cancel. Assuming you're in the UK then look at http://www.xbox.com/en-gb/support/contact/default.htm

A word of warning: I rang up to cancel a few weeks ago and they STILL messed up and renewed it, plus they took money from my out of date card. Make notes of what they say to you and make sure you get a reference number from them about your call.

Since that's the only reply, I guess I'm going to have to ring them.... argh I hate phones

Seriously though, that is absolute crap, why should I have to go to the trouble of phoning them rather than just cancelling it? :mad:

Its the only reply because its the only way to cancel xbox live.

You could check the official xbox forums where there are long threads moanng about how to cancel.

Alternatively, take it from all above.....Phoning is indeed the only way!!!

I wouldn't be too sure ringing them will be enough.

I rang to cancel my renewal, they went and renewed it anyway.

The best way would be to call them and ask them to cancel, but also change the details on your card. That way even if they try to charge it, it wont accept.

I just put random stuff into the credit card details box and it didn't renew this time. The only problem is I now can't get onto Xbox live AT ALL until I correct it or put in a code from a pre-paid card because it comes up with an error saying the card details are incorrect.
