Cancelling Xbox live?

Basically I got a refund on my launch day 360 back in August. My Xbox live gold is due for renewal in January (I think). How do I cancel it?

Phone them up otherwise they will automatically charge your card.

Yep i had to do the same, spent 15 minutes on hold then got through to someone who hadn't got a clue what I was telling him. Good luck!

Yeah, the Xbox Live support is very poor. Just be adament with them and you'll be fine.

I have dealt with them a few times and never had a problem, should really have got it cancelled when you got rid of the 360 and got a refund on your remaining months

Well everything went rather well...

I just hope it gets canceled

I just explained that I didn't have one as it had broken and at the moment I can't afford a new one. I also told here that I would be buying another 360 in the not too distant future. She told me that if I don't login within 6 months it goes (does that count for web login as well?).

eh?, don't you have to signup for your gamertag just for silver and no Live, they shouldn't be removing your gamertag whatever happens, i would have thought.

It certainly doesn't go. I still have "NokkonWud" from 6 years ago, I just can't recover it due to not knowing the CC details.

Yeah, they really should have an option in the dashboard to cancel. It really is too much of a pain.

Make the option password protected and need your CC details.

not if it was passworded, or even in Windows Live ID online have the option
