Bought this today for £4 from Good Old Games.com.

It was always a favourite of mine on the Amiga, and buying it from GOG means it will simply download in seconds (only 20mb!!) and will play on your shiny new rig.
No DRM, just good old fashioned fun

This game would be perfect for a HD graphics remake. No changes to gameplay, just shiny new graphics. I'd be a very happy little sausage.

Anyway, if you played it back in the day you must have loved it, so go buy it!!
If you're a sprog and never played it, it's awesome, so go buy it!!!

Epic game tbh, that and number 2. Although if i recall the last time i downloaded it to play i sucked big time

depends how you look at it...... yeah, its a blocky mess, but its exactly as it was 16 years ago!! the gameplay is as fun as ever.

it would benefit from an hd remake, but is still fun to play as is

isnt this the pc port and so doesn't have the opening song like the amiga version did?

Hmmmmmmmm - sure I had the PC version with the song? Or was I playing a conversion for my old Acorn A3000? Hmmmm too many cobwebs in the brain. So the PC version doesn't have the song, then?

the 3d pc intro i think is the cdrom version i dont believe the floppy version has the song either. strange because in 1993 the pc was more than capable of producing better music than the amiga. its a bit confusing, there's a few different intros for various platforms on youtube but i think the bottom line is the pc version doesnt have the song - except as a raw file on the cd which isnt included in gog.

Am I right also in thinking that since Jools and Jops were your first soldiers they always had the highest rank and were therefore the best soldiers?
