cannon zoom browser alternative>?

Pick up a 2nd hand copy of Lightroom 3. You don't have to use it for editing it can be an excellent cataloging tool as well. I used zoom browser myself for years.
 
Canon have recently released a new program, that they intend to be a replacement for Zoombrowser.

It is called Imagebrowser EX

If you go to the DLSR Support page at

http://www.canon.co.uk/Support/Consumer_Products/products/cameras/Digital_SLR/index.aspx

click on your camera - click on the Downloads tab and then select Software and Drivers, then you will be presented with a page full of the software patches. Select your OS and Language to filter out all the foreign versions.

You should see Imagebrowser in the list. It can be installed alongside Zoombrowser.
