HI. I've got a BT Homehub v2 (black one) and found it has remote access. I enabled it and it works using it's internet ip address http://81.157.167.248 when I'm connected to it wirelessly.
Problem is when I try from another internet connection (i.e. actually remotely), it times out looking for it.
The IP address is defintily correct as I was on site and checked it again. I've tried https://81.157.167.248 but this does nothing.
is there anything else I have to do? I thought about port forwarding but i can usually log in using 192.168.1.254 so that tells me it uses port 80 so shouldn't need forwarding.
wierd part is when i use https it says page cannot be found, when I use just http it says "completed request to 81.157.167.248" but then doens't get any further, which shows it's at least found something .
Any help is appreciated.
