Hey guys currently getting far with my overclocking.

Sometimes when I turn the system off or when the motherboard resets.....all the fans just spin and the system doesnt post :(

I am using Team Extreme PC6400 4 x 1024mb sticks they are labelled as 4,4,4,10 with voltage from 2.0 to 2.2v

I have tried pushing the voltage closer to 3 to no avail..

On my Asus P5B I had to increase the voltage in order to post regularly but I honestly have no idea with this one...

Also tried putting the North Bridge to 1.52 volts still wont post...:o

Is there anything I am doing wrong? The memory is fine as I have tested it.

Sometimes however it will post with no argument lol so no idea whats going on!

Please help..this is meant to be excellent memory for overclocking.

P45 is 65nm tech, compaired to the old 90nm tech used in P35/X38/X48 and therefore high voltages will hinder and not help your clock..

If you havent killed your memory by overvolting it so much (memory is MUCH easier to kill with volts than your CPU)..

Set the memory voltage to 2.1v, set the timmings to 5-5-5-15, make sure it is running at under 800mhz

Set your FSB to Northbridge Strap to 333mhz

Now no idea on the processor your running, but set it to stock speed.. now for FSB Termination voltage, NB, SB voltage set it to a couple of notches up from the recommended (the BIOS on the right hand side shows you the default values).. that should be enough to boot..

IF you have no luck try 2 sticks to start with, no further luck try some different memory
