Not sure if the title makes sense, but I'll try to explain here.

I have been running Windows 7 for a while now, but I wanted to try some racing games with my old steering wheel, and that only works upto Vista, so I decided to create a windows XP install on a seperate HDD within my system that I wasn't using, this all worked fine, however now that I've just tried to boot back into Windows 7 I can't

If I try to boot to the drive with W7 on, whilst having the XP HDD in, it just boots straight to XP (although the W7 disk is the first HDD in the boot priority), but if I unplug the XP HDD, I get the following error:
Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem.
Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware.
Please check the Windows documentation about hardware disk configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional information.

Going to be really ****ed if the installaion of XP has meant that I can't boot into W7 (although on hind sight, I should have probably unplugged all other drives anyway, as I do normally)

Anyone have any ideas on what's gone wrong, or how to fix it?
