Cannot browse web pages

I have a Windows XP machine which was riddled with viruses and malware, the infection has been cleaned but now I cannot access the internet (on board ethernet)

The machine is setup with DHCP, an IP address has been allocated, it also has the correct gateway and DNS settings

Strangely I can still connect to a shared network drive and connect remotely through VNC

Connection through a USB ethernet adaptor works just fine

I've tried the Winsock XP fix with no success, anything else i can try?

All the settings are on automatic, I've also tried updating the network driver and BIOS

Tried that, also tried in safe mode with networking :mad:

Even tried complete internet repair with no luck, guess I just need to use my USB Ethernet
