Cannot connect in standalone network

I have a ESXI server, switch and PC all connected to each other with static IPs. There used to be a router but that's removed as I don't need internet. But nothing can connect to anything else.

What are the IP details of everything?

10.1.0.1, 10.1.0.2 etc
255.255.255.0

The switch is managed and all the ports are on VLAN 2.

Generally, it'll be easier if there's a router to sort out DNS and DHCP.

When you say can't connect, what can't connect? What services are you using?

My AD DC is assigning IPs. Funnily, the Windows PCs work, but the Mac and Pi dont. I did connect a new Philips Hue which got an IP.

My Mac doent get any IP on DHCP. Even when assigning an IP manually no ping to anything else.
